Lillith ThreeFeather’s Ritual Bath for Solstice

Lillith ThreeFeather’s Ritual Bath for Solstice

Pick from the following herbs — you probably have several of these in your kitchen:

  • bay leaves,
  • blessed thistle,
  • chamomile,
  • hyssop,
  • juniper,
  • rosemary.

All of these herbs are associated with solar and/or solstice energy, and they all have additional properties. Bay removes negativity and brings in the positive. Chamomile is calming for those who are stressed and nervous — at this time of year, that means most of us. Hyssop removes negativity and confusion; brings clarity. Juniper: in addition to purification, it is good for removing emotional residue and helps you see your own abilities. Blessed thistle protects from evil. Not only is rosemary great at cleaning, it freshens your thinking and strengthens your head.

Make a big pot of strong tea out of any of these herbs. Strain and let it cool before you use it! You can pour it into sit-down bath or use it in the shower. If you take a sit-down bath, use cool or lukewarm water for best results. If you don’t have a tub, take a regular shower and then slowly pour the mixture over you. To make a big pitcher for pouring, you can add some cool water to the tea.

As you soak or stand and drip, thank the plants for their blessings, and pray for cleansing, healing and good possibilities.

Have a super solstice!
